It’s officially my birthday week!
As far as holidays go, birthdays are always at the top of my list (although, Christmas will always take the cake) and I’m looking forward to celebrating another year with my family. This week, I’ll be turning 29 and it’s starting to hit me that this is my last year in my 20’s.
There have been so many wonderful things that have happened during my 20’s. Getting married, having a baby, buying our first home, graduating college, starting my career…just to name a few.
So, I want to send my 20’s off next year with a big accomplishment. Something that I told myself I’d never do. Never say never, right?
I’m going to run a half marathon.
Whew, I’m tired just thinking about it. 😉
This is a BIG deal for me. Up until I started training last month, I had not run at all since I found out I was pregnant with JD…and that was nearly four years ago.
I’m literally going from 0 to half marathon in this next year.
So, I’m going to start documenting it all here. My plans, my workouts, my embarrassing stats — I’ll be sharing it all in weekly updates/recaps so you can follow along in my training. It’s not going to be pretty, but we all have to start somewhere. And, I’m really excited about the outcome.
Be sure to send me all the positive cheers and advice along the way — I’m going to need all the help I can get!
