Turnaround Times

Each silhouette piece is custom made and hand-drawn, so it takes time to get them just right. Our current turnaround times are listed below and do not include shipping time.

Please note that turnaround times increase around busy holidays (Christmas and Mother’s Day) so please keep an eye out for holiday deadlines

Turnaround times start after we receive your order and form details. We can’t start on your order until we have received ALL the photos for it.

2025 Holiday Deadlines

To ensure delivery by Christmas:

  • November 20 – Deadline for all custom silhouette items

  • December 1 – Last day to approve your proof for production

  • December 8 – Deadline for all other items

Orders or approvals received after these dates will be completed as time allows, but holiday delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Please note: The shop will close at the end of December for a short winter break and will reopen in early January. Orders placed during this time will be processed once the shop reopens.

FAQ

  • After placing your order, you’ll receive a link via email to the silhouette customization form, where you can select your options and upload your photo. You can also access the form anytime on our Silhouette Detail Forms page. Please submit the form within 72 hours of purchase so your order can be processed promptly.

  • Yes! Phone images are perfectly fine! Just make sure the subject is well-lit and the background is free of distractions. You can see more photo tips above.

  • You don’t have to upload your photo at checkout, but it does need to be submitted within 72 hours of placing your order to keep production on schedule. Submitting later may cause processing delays.

    If photos are not submitted within 30 days, your order will be archived. A $50 fee is required to reactivate an archived order.

  • All of our jewelry pieces are delicate and should be handled with care. The fine silver and gold plated pendants have a slight antique finish and may have some slight imperfections because of how they are made.

    Be sure to take off your jewelry before swimming, exercising, showering, or using household cleaners. While the pendants are water resistant, they are not waterproof and should not be submerged in water. Wear your jewelry after you have fully applied lotions and fragrances.

    To clean your jewelry, use a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Dry thoroughly before storing. Never use a jewelry cleaner as they are too harsh and may contain abrasives.

    When you are not wearing your jewelry, keep it stored in a covered, anti-tarnish pouch or box.

  • Absolutely! When you are ready to add more charms, get in touch with us or leave us a note at checkout letting us know you are adding to an existing piece. We’ve intentionally created our pieces so they won’t slide off the chain to protect your precious silhouette charms, but this means that additional charms don’t just “slide-on”.

    For our necklaces and bracelets, you can mail in your piece so we can add the charm for you. If you have a necklace, you may also choose to use a larger jump ring for your add-on charms so you can easily slide it on the necklace yourself.

  • No, the silhouettes are sealed in the pendants using a non-toxic, glasslike resin.
